To avoid collision accidents at loading ramps, in underground garages or in warehouses where handling equipment is used, sensitive building parts should be covered with special impact protection. 1. Column and pillar guards: quick install

Column protection guards consist of two plastic half-shells that you can quickly and easily attach to load-bearing pillars, steel columns and poles, securing them in place with Velcro or rod clasps. Neither tools nor fasteners are required for installation. This allows columns in various warehouse zones to be quickly and easily equipped with collision protection.

The resilient, elastic PE material features optimal impact absorption, reliably absorbing impacts of up to 2200 joules (at impact angles of 90°) and reducing damage to columns and vehicles. Due to its dimensional stability, this round plastic column protector automatically returns to its original shape after a collision.

2. Column protection accessories

At Jungheinrich PROFISHOP, we offer a selection of accessories designed for use with protection wraps and collision guards for columns, parking pillars, poles, beams and bollards. These include an extension element, which can simply be attached to a column or pillar guard to extend it by up to 200mm. Extension elements are made from flexible polyethylene, which allows them to absorb and minimize any impact resulting from a collision.

Tension belts for column protection are also available to purchase. These can be used to tightly secure all elements of a column impact protector together, including extension elements. With a maximum length of 4,000mm they can be used on a variety of collision protection elements, including differently sized warehouse pole protectors and parking pillar guards.
