Selecting a suitable low-profile pallet truck
With low-profile pallet trucks you can pick up low-profile pallets, non-standard Euro pallets and one-way pallets from near floor level for horizontal transport. This is made possible thanks to the particularly low entry height of only 51 mm —a feature not found on standard hand pallet trucks. Infeed rollers make it easier to drive under the load. Some models also have a quick lift of up to 120 kg, allowing you to raise pallets off the floor in seconds.
This is achieved with just a few manual pump strokes via the ergonomic tiller and a high-performance hydraulic pump, which are designed for continuous use and are particularly hard-wearing. Lowering valves ensure that loads can be brought down smoothly and with precision The manoeuvrability of our low pallet trucks also increases efficiency when transporting particularly low goods. The load capacity of the manual models in our range is 1500 kg.
1. Buy low-profile pallet trucks with the right fork length

The standard fork length is 1150 mm for low-profile pallet jacks, and the fork carrying width is 540 mm. However, some models are available with forks in special lengths and special fork carrying widths, as required. This allows special pallets to be picked up and transported safely and effectively:
- Short fork lengths of 795 and 950 mm: Accommodates unit loads such as cartons or boxes, display pallets, half pallets and quarter pallets (CHEP pallets).
- Extra wide fork carrying width of 680 mm: Accommodates pallets with excess width or length, several pallets at the same time or for transverse pick-up of Euro pallets.
2. Select tyre material
All low pallet trucks at Jungheinrich PROFISHOP are equipped with two robust swivel wheels and fork rollers, designed for loads up to 1500 kg. In addition, low-profile pallet jacks are also available with tandem fork rollers. These double castors distribute the weight more effectively, especially in higher load ranges, and help prevent the wheels from breaking. We stock wheels and castors for low pallet jacks in different materials, each particularly suitable for different surfaces.
Please note: Due to the low ground clearance of these pallet trucks, a level, smooth surface is a prerequisite. Low-profile pallet trucks cannot be used on ramps.
