The A-SAFE FlexiShield column guard has been specially designed to protect rectangular and square concrete and steel columns from impact damage and scratches caused by industrial vehicles such as forklift trucks. The modular, interlocking sections made from MEMAPLEX® can be installed quickly and easily for a precise fit on all sides of the column. This eliminates any gaps, which would otherwise make the column more susceptible to damage, and ensures optimum use of the available space. In the event of an impact, the energy is directed around and away from the column. Multiple column guard elements can be interconnected by means of the stepped stacking function. This allows the individual elements to effectively dissipate impact energy at any height. In addition, the column guard encloses the base plate of the steel girder so that the fixings are protected in the event of impact.
